This basically shows that all of the former slaves would go back to work.But the ones under 6 would not go back to work.After that, 4 years later in 1838 all of the slaves were free in Britain. In August 1833, the Slave Emancipation Act was passed, giving all slaves in the British empire their freedom, albeit after a set period of years. The 1833 Act did not come into force until 1 August 1834. The first step was the freeing of all children under six. The act gave the freedom to people that were not free before.After they passed the act down they took a year to finally approve it and make it part of the acts.

Apprentices got food and clothing from their slaves owner.Slaves would get a free gift of 20 million English pounds from their slave owner if they lost a slave.During the 1820's and early 1830's a strong network of of women antislavery associations developed this was part of the women antislavery in 1833.The Birmingham Society played a particularly active role in helping to promote and establish local groups in many parts of Britain this was something that happened during the part in 1833.Influenced by the Birmingham Society, over 73 women associations were founded between 1825 and 1833 which supplied a constant stream of information to rouse public opinion against slavery this was also something during what happened during that time.
